Corporate History & Overview
CDE Services, Inc. was founded in 1989, when electronic processing was still a new and innovative way for merchants to accept credit card payments. At that time, companies offering electronic credit card processing had to rely on original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to repair a broken piece of equipment and order supplies. CDE Services developed an efficient, assembly line repair process that decreased the cost of POS equipment repairs. As the market for refurbished units grew, CDE’s repair process evolved into a system for creating high quality, reliable and affordable remanufactured units.
Today, CDE’s legacy business continues to be repairing and remanufacturing equipment, but we’ve expanded our product and service offerings to include a full range of equipment management services. We’ve also broadened our customer base, so that customers outside of the payment transaction industry also benefit from CDE’s innovation and superior customer service.
Innovation & Technology
At CDE Services, we are always looking for ways to improve the customer experience by fostering a “culture of innovation.” CDE has made significant investments in its technology platforms and infrastructure. We own several patents, including the ‘935 patent for color coding POS equipment. This color coding system, where high quality labels are color matched to CDE produced cables, makes installation error-proof and fast.
Privacy and Data Security Compliance That Won’t Break the Bank In order to help our customers meet rigorous and dynamic industry standards for protecting an individual’s privacy, CDE has invested in becoming a TG-3 audited encryption service organization (ESO). Now instead of scrapping existing machines that are no longer in compliance, customers can turn to CDE for new PIN pads and workarounds that will eliminate the need to buy all new POS equipment.
X-Ray Technology Means Fast Diagnosis
CDE utilizes the latest in ball grid array (BGA) and x-ray technology to diagnose problems that other vendors would never detect. This allows our expert technicians to see through the chip and pinpoint questionable or faulty connections.
CDE China: Creating Cost-Effective Solutions…Even from Scratch! Can’t find a part or need a piece of equipment that’s no longer supported by the manufacturer? CDE’s facility in Shanghai, China, manufactures a variety of replacement parts, including case plastics, lenses, ribbons, and displays. If the part is no longer available, talk to CDE about having it manufactured.

Locations
Headquartered in metro Atlanta, CDE Services’ corporate offices house the customer service, accounting, sales and marketing departments. This is also where you’ll find the primary remanufacturing center and deployment and retrieval department. In 1994, CDE secured its position in the international marketplace by opening a facility in China. The Shanghai facility operates remanufacturing and component manufacturing centers. China’s strong position in the arena of manufacturing has provided CDE access to innovative developments in plastics/component tooling.
